Meghan Markle makes first royal appearance since birth of baby Archie

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have attended an annual military parade in honour of Queen Elizabeth.

Known as the Trooping of the Colour, the parade has marked the official birthday of the reigning British monarch for more than 260 years, and this year features more than 1,400 soldiers, nearly 300 horses and 400 musicians.

The display closes with a fly-past by Britain’s Royal Air Force.

The ceremony marked Meghan’s first official royal engagement since the birth of her and Harry’s son Archie.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex smiled and waved as they made their way through the parade in front of thousands of Royal watchers who crowded the streets.

They were joined in their carriage by Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.

Meghan gave birth to Archie on May 6 and has not made any public appearances since the couple introduced their firstborn to the world a few days later.
